Willie’s defining traits, extreme desire, laser-like marking, bidability and resilience, have made him a superb field competitor. Willie qualified at three successive Master Nationals, becoming the first flatcoat Master National Hunter, and was inducted into the Master National Hall of Fame. At age 9, Willie turned to field trials, earning four placements in all-breed field trials, including a qualifying first, all owner-handled. At age 11, he placed second at the 2012 FCRSA Specialty Qualifying trial. Willie started his obedience career at age 10, earning his CD and CDX in six straight shows, all with first and second places, and has one Utility leg, with a first place. At age 11-1/2 Willie was a tail-wagging optimist with more energy than most two year old dogs.

Owned by John and Helga Goudge of Peotone , Illinois. Willie really stood out at the 2012 FCRSA Specialty. He has sired the top 2  current working dogs in field trials. His son, Willie, owned by Mitch and Margot Brown has  some  placings in all-age Q’s and  his son, Reaver,  [Willie x Ivy] owned by John Goudge has won the Flatcoat field trial trophy for earning the most points  in  field trials this past year. [several placings, Reserve Jams and a 3rd]
